First Class Flying
December 3rd, 2011Posted by: J$
I’m off to Korea for a little business and a lot of R&R. This will be my 2nd time visiting the Motherland so I’m pretty amped about it. Flying “solo-dolo” is good for you sometimes. Its good to get away from the craze, to reflect, and to plan for the better future. Plus, there’s nothing like a little “ME” time to site-see & eat good food.
Roy just got back from a month long endeavor in Korean & Japan himself, and got to enjoy the perks of flying First thanks to my sister who works for American. So i’ve been looking forward to this flight as well. Les goooo!
Waaaait a minute, wtf?? But….how….Economy Class?!
Row 53 of 55?! Oh maaaan. Either way, I can’t complain. Looking forward to this 13 hr flight in the back by the restrooms. Easy access. Gotta stay optimistic, right?
From the looks of it, I think we’re almost there. I think…
Touchdown in Koreatown. Let’s see what kind of trouble I can get into out here. Wish me luck!
So Fresh n So Clean

I’ve been living in SF for a bit over two years now. And ever since Arnelle put me on i’ve only gotten cuts from one place, Fresh Cuts Barbershop (Daly City). I don’t go there just because they’re the homies, but because they’re great at what they do. They take the art of grooming very seriously and I respect that. With their recent move & upgrade to a bigger location, its great to see them prosper all while doing what they love and have a passion for. Congrats to Julius & the fam @ Fresh Cuts on their recent grand opening.
Stop by for your next cut, you won’t regret it.
RAX on RAX on RAX

This past Friday we went to support our very own FroFro along with our good friends Nina & Erica at “HeART in High Heels”, an all-female showcase hosted by 31Rax.
Female artistry is greatly valued in the art/fashion culture, and has been growing stronger in the industries that surround us. A lot has changed since the days of the “Rosie Riveter“ posters. In my opinion, females are going to eventually take over this world we live in… with that being said, here are a few shots of their work in case you missed out.
They delivered in all forms & fashion.
The ladies collectively bombed up a canvass! Freestyling at its finest. Here’s Arnelle laying down her piece.
The lighting set a nice ambiance for all of the pieces throughout the store. Can’t go wrong with strobes.
He agrees with me.
The homies Erica & Derek worked extremely hard to set up for this event. Great job guys & thank you for the invitation!
And we can’t forget the lovely hostess, Stephanie, owner of 31Rax. Stop by her store & say hello!
31 Rax – 3309 Mission Street – San Francisco, CA 94110
Thanks to all of the sponsors, artists & vendors involved for the great showcase. All of the pieces will be available to purchase for the rest of the year so go check it out.
Cheers to a goodnight!
At the Height of it All
November 14th, 2011So my trip to Japan has come to an end. I spend my final hours doing a lot of touristy things like sight seeing, people watching, and of course EATING. It’s a bittersweet end to an amazing trip spent with family, business, networking, and self-reflection. I’m eager to get back to the great City of San Francisco that I’m so fortunate to call home and get the ball rolling. What I’ve learned on this trip, I’ll take with me for a lifetime.
Here I am at the top of Mori Towers in Roppongi, Tokyo. Time moves much slower at this altitude.
Might as well check out the heli-pad while we’re at it.
The view from up here is worth at least a few words… Skyscrapers far as you can see. We’ll be seeing you again real soon Tokyo.
東京のストリートウェア (Street Wear in Tokyo)
November 3rd, 2011Couldn’t leave Tokyo before making a stop in one of my favorite areas, Harajuku. A block inside the main street (Meiji Dori) lies a strip filled with your favorite international boutiques. Check it out.

Kicks on kicks on kicks.
Everybody’s favorite, Supreme right above one of my favorites, Neighborhood.
And of course KIKSTYO right above Onspotz.
You gotta love Carhartt’s execution for relevant work wear.
Code Headwear.
I would have loved to show you the inside of Head Porter, but they were especially annoying about photographs…
