Woes
March 12th, 2012Last Friday, a crew of us (comprised of Fully Laced, Premium Blend and Unscripted) made the trek down to San Jose for the Angry Woebots show at Cukui. I’ve been a fan of these angry little pandas for sometime now, and since we missed out on Pow Wow in Hawaii last month, we were extra hyped to see Woes and his works.
And to cap off the show, a Lion Dance performance by a local dance group.
The Crew and Woes.
Son of a Gun
February 15th, 2012My first time at a gun range. Actually, my first time shooting a gun period. If you’re looking for a quick shot of adrenaline without going too far, take a crack at some targets at the range. The loud bangs of your Glock intwined with the constant blasts coming from your peripherals is sure to keep your blood pumping for hours after. Big thanks to everyone over at Jackson Arms!
Not bad for my first time.
A Day With the Werehaus
January 19th, 2012Not too long ago, I was able to meet up with my friend Austin and his brother Brian, one half of the creative firm Werehaus in their new office in the Hobart building. It was an afternoon of catching up, kimchi burritos and climbing roofs of really high buildings.
Here’s my all-time favorite Werehaus video “Balance of Opposites” for Black Scale. Make sure to keep up with everything Werehaus here.
Year in review
December 31st, 2011posted by: Roy
2011 has been quite the year to say the least. It’s been a year of lessons, sorrows, and even triumphs. On a business level, Unscripted saw tremendous growth, we teamed up with our friend’s at Fully Laced to open Premium Blend SF, and even capped off the year with the launch of our new company Yamamoto Industries (more on that in a different post). On a personal note, we’ve made made some amazing new friends, did a good deal of traveling, and found out a great deal about ourselves in the process. It’s hard to appreciate all the things you’ve done and experienced in an entire year, much less remember. That’s why we turn to our favorite iPhone app for the memories. Here’s pics taken from my instagram (@roy_unsc) in the course of 2011. Cheers to an even better 2012!
Sunday Workday
December 12th, 2011I’ve come to the realization that whether you’re a musician or an entrepreneur, everyone on their hustle has one thing in common. We’re always thinking and doing whatever we can to further our business; perfecting our craft. Whether it’s talking strategy at the dinner table or day dreaming about the next project, IT’s always on our mind 24/7. It’s a blessing and a curse. Day off from work means a day to work. Here’s Sunday funday with my friends Hopie, Aris Jerome, Chris Simmons, and the Step Heavvy team on the set of Hopie’s new music video.
Driving scene with the helmet cam.
Hopie approves.
Make up and wardrobe by Gen, Viet-Thi and Elissa of Step Heavvy.
Oh my bad…
